It's March, so it isn’t surprising that our Curators are coveting everything associated with Spring this month!
Our Curators spend a large part of their day curating accent pieces just for you. They talk to artists, visit art galleries, trawl markets and bazaars to see the colours on display, and sometimes travel across the world to seek inspiration (tough job, that!). So when they quietly shop for home décor and accents on our website, we just have to know what’s in their shopping cart!
Let’s take a quick peep into their March basket.
Inspired by the mid-century sunburst design, the Aspen Mirror is accented by a modern geometric pattern, which has come to be a signature décor trend in 2017. Finished in a delicate gold frame, it’s open floral design would make any wall fresh and interesting. You’d want this mirror to talk back!
Reminiscent of the colourful tapas bars of Spain, these would be such delight to offer up hors d'oeuvres and crudités at the next party. The weather is just perfect for an outdoor gathering, with some chilled champagne, flavourful bites, and happy music. And the bright colours of these plates would just take the party up a nautch. Salud!
3. Handsel Silver Frames (Blooms)
These modern cast photo frames have a beautiful silver finish, giving them a glamorous vintage Hollywood feel. Love the tender swirls and blooms, but our heart is set on the blooms. These frames are just the right balance of glamour and nostalgia, and perfect to capture intimate, lovely moments!
Anoche soñé contigo y esta manana no me quiero despertar! We are still dreaming of our Spanish love and these whimsical frames in bright colours and strong Spanish influences, take us back to lingering afternoons in a breezy hacienda. The unique but complementary designs and the hand-finished aged look would bring Mediterranean charm to any space. Did we hear someone say te amo!
5. At Close Quarters, Canvas Abstraction
This gorgeous set of two square canvas abstractions feature hand-painted city-views in rustic terracotta red, mustard yellow, sage green, pastel pink, and azure. Maybe the painter was dreaming of the colourful Amalfi coast, with its stunning views of steep mountain cliffs, multicolored houses, and dramatic archways. This is such joyful décor that it makes one long for faraway travel, while taking delight in the colours of the spring. This one is going right up on our walls!
